两个小灵魂
Two Little Souls
很久以前，有两个小灵魂是最知心的朋友，每天形影不离。
Long ago, there were two little souls who were the closest of friends. They were inseperable, always together.
有一天，一个小灵魂要转世投胎为人，众多的小灵魂来送他。
上帝问：“你还有什么愿望吗？”
小灵魂说：“我希望拥有一个天使，帮助我成为一个最美好的生命。” 上帝想了想，说：“成为一个最美好的生命，最有难度的就是学会宽恕，你们有谁愿意成为帮助他学习宽恕的天使呢？“
他的朋友站出来说：”我可以到你的生命里做一些恶事来让你学习宽恕。“
One day, one of the little souls was about to be reincarnated as a human being. Many other little souls gathered to see him off.
God asked, “Do you have one last wish?”
The little soul replied, “I wish to have an angel who will help me become the best person I can be.”
God thought for a moment and said, “The greatest challenge in becoming the best version of yourself is learning to forgive. Which of you would be willing to become the angel who helps this soul learn forgiveness?”
His friend stepped forward, “I will enter your life and do things that seem wrong, so that you may learn to forgive.”
“为什么你要那样做？”
小灵魂问：“你如此完美，有什么理由让你到我的生命里，让自己变得沉重和阴暗呢？”
“But why would you do that?”
the little soul asked, “You are so pure and beautiful. Why would you come into my life only to make yourself seem heavy and dark?”
“很简单，因为我爱你，我是你的兄弟。“
他的朋友说：“你也为我做过同样的事。你不记得了吗？我们曾经一起经历了一切。我们都当过男人和女人，好人和坏人，受害者和迫害者。我们彼此将最完美的机会带给对方，表达和体验着我们真正的自己。所以……“
His friend smiled, “It’s simple —- because I love you. You are my brother.” He continued, “You have done the same for me before. Don’t you remember? We have been through everything together. We have been men and women, the kind and the cruel, the victims and the persecutors. Again and again, we have offered one another the perfect opportunities to express and experience who we truly are. So…”
他的朋友进一步解释说：“我会来到你的下一次生命中扮演‘坏蛋’。我会做一些真正可怕的事，你就可以体验到什么是宽恕。”
His friend went on to explain, “In your next life, I will play the role of the ‘villain’. I will do things that are truly terrible, so that you may discover what forgiveness really means.”
”你为我付出那么多，我能为你做什么呢？“ 小灵魂又问。
“You are giving up so much for me,” the little soul said, “What can I do for you in return?”
“在我攻击你的时候，”他的朋友回答：“在我对你做出你能想到的最坏事情的时候，请你一定要记住我真正的样子。因为，我会假装投入，连我自己都忘记了。如果我忘记了我是谁，你可能也会忘记了你是谁，我们两个就会一起迷路。”他的朋友说。
“When I attack you,” his friend replied, “When I do the worst things you can imagine to you, please remember who I truly am. Because I will become so completely absorbed in my role that even I may forget. If I forget who I am, you may forget who you are as well —- and together, we will lose our way.”
小灵魂保证：“我一定会记得你！你是我的天使！”
The little soul promised, “I will remember you. You are my angel!”
